In the year 1992, Bellview Airlines started its executive charter operations. At that time, it had only one Yakovlev Yak-40 and operated as a travel agency in Lagos. It was only in the year 1993 that the airline started its domestic passenger services on a leased Douglas DC-9-30. Bellview Airlines (Sierra Leone), a sister concern of Bellview Airlines (Nigeria) was started out in the year 1995, but was incorporated back to the parent company.
Covering domestic as well as international destinations, Bellview Airlines, Nigeria has a very wide coverage worldwide. On the domestic front, Bellview Airlines connects four cities with Lagos and also has flight services to 10 regional destinations. These destinations are mainly in West and Central Africa. On the international front, Bellview Airlines has services to Johannesburg and London from Lagos. Apart from these, some other domestic destinations include Abuja, Kano, Lagos and Port Harcourt, while the international destinations comprise of Monrovia, Libreville, Freetown, Douala, Dakar, Conakry, Banjul, Accra and Abidjan.
Currently, the fleet of Bellview Airlines comprises of 4 Boeing 737-200s, 1 Boeing 737-300 and 2 Boeing 767-200ERs and provides services in both passenger and cargo segments. While in the passenger segment, the airline mainly transports people from one destination to the other, in the cargo segment, Bellview Airline carries luggage and other heavy loads from one place to the other. This segment deals with cargo consolidation, distribution and quality control documentation. Moreover, these operations have been approved by the IATA safety regulations and procedures.
