The Jersey European Airways Ltd., the British airline had started its operation on 1st November 1979 after over taking the Intra Airways. The airline called Spacegrand Aviation and the Intra Airways were run separately; however, the year 1985 witnessed the amalgamation of both the companies under the Walker Aviation Group and under the name of Jersey European Airways Ltd. Soon Jersey European Airways Ltd. underwent the transformation of name and was addressed as British European Airways. In order to change its image and position the Jersey European Airways Ltd. again got changed its name changed into Flybe.
Today Flybe, formerly known as the Jersey European Airways Ltd. is chiefly owned by Rosedale Aviation Holdings and secondarily by the staffs. The Flybe is based at the Exeter International Airport and is known as the largest independent regional airline of Europe. The other hubs for this airway are the Southampton International Airport, Birmingham Airport and Belfast City Airport. It takes pride in holding the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority Type A Operating License and for carrying cargoes and mails along with passengers.
The airline is operating in countries namely Croatia, Italy, Germany, France, Ireland, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Austria and so forth. In the coming years more aircrafts will be added and it will be serving some additional locations.
